be warned, what your about to read concerns a first year con, comments in its most brutal and honest form.

tcon, the con that many people wanted to see happen, was riddled with problems from the get go. no annoucements, very rare staff presence, no advertisments. but people still wanted to give it a chance. then the bashing of other cons calling them "anime-inspired events". then the race card was played, then the pity daughter act was played. seriously, how do you think having a con for your daughter because it costs her 1-2k to go to a con on the east coast is a good idea? since when did 1-2k=117k?

so the con gets closer, still no annoucements, even worse crispin freeman was cancelled with no notification on the website AT ALL! they didnt even tell the attendee's

the con turned out to be a hallway in the pacc, no badge checks, no badges, no security, no posted schedule on the website, bootlegs being sold in the dealers room blantantly, VA's being forced to pay for their own rooms.
people will claim they had fun, but thats only because they meet up with  friends, which they could have done for free.


after the con someone posted a thread titled "postive feedback only" as if there was no negative feedback allowed.
i posted what i really thought  about the con instead of pretending nothing bad ever happened, it was meet with this response from volunteer aka "staffer"

then i got this nice pm in my mailbox

they then proceeded to say that attendance was  about 1000, total lie, more like 200-300 max


all i got to say is, congrats tcon, you have nailed yourself into a coffin, and unless you reorganize managment and make 500 percent effort to make next years better.......dont come back.
you have hurt other anime cons in the area, made anime cons look like bad business, and totally screwed yourself in your laziness to run a con correctly.
